Val di Fiemme extends from Cavalese and Predazzo until Obereggen for about 35 kilometres in width in the region of Trentino Sudtyrol. The area of Val di Fiemme allows access to other ski areas such as Latemar, Step Lavazè, Olcina and Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia. All this great district consists of approximately 100 kilometres of slopes. For cross-country skiing kilometres go up even to 150, between the areas of Lavazè Pass and Lake Tesero. All ski areas have ski schools, equipment rental and numerous other services available to the individual skier or the family.
Val di Fiemme Dolomiti consists of several ski resorts, among the most famous Alpe Cermìs has a cable car from Cavalese reaches a height at 2.000 meters. Here stands the excellent exposure of the slopes covering 23 kilometres of tracks. Of all the most famous track is Olympia, seven kilometres and a half long along a vertical drop of 1.400 meters. Overall, the Alpe Cermìs has 12 kilometres of easy slopes, 6 km of red runs and 5 km of difficult slopes. Paths are served by 8 lifts including, 3 chair lifts 2 surface lifts, 2 gondolas and cable cars.
The Latemar ski area stretches from the town Pampeago to Predazzo and Obereggen. In this last resort you can ski at night on two slopes for three evenings a week, always in Obereggen there is a Snowboard Park with a 90 meters long Halfpipe. Latemar ski area is big, has 44 kilometres of ski runs served by 14 chairlifts, 2 skylifts and 2 cable cars. Here the tracks are often of medium and high difficulty. There are 10 kilometres of easy slopes, 6 of difficult slopes and less than 28 kilometres are of red runs of medium difficulty.
Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia area lies above Predazzo is characterized by the natural scenery that offers skiers, the area offers views of the Pale di San Martino and the Chain of Lagorai. 24 are the kilometres of tracks in Bellamonte-Alpe Luisa area, served by 5 chairlifts, a ski lift, gondolas and cable cars. Only 4 kilometres of slopes are difficult, 8 of medium difficulty and 12 easy and affordable for the whole family. Also here is a well-equipped snow park.
The ski area Olcina Pass-Lavazè Pass is located further west of the Latemar ski area and is also surrounded by an evocative atmosphere. It offers a total of 6 kilometres of trails with 8 lifts. Three kilometres of trails are easy, the other three of medium difficulty. Here you can get on some tracks with rubber boats. There is also a snow park with games, a mini club and the ski bus is free.
In the eastern end of the Val di Fiemme there is the ski area of the Rolle Pass. The approximately 10 kilometres of ski slopes, with all levels of difficulty, are served by 4 lifts and a ski lift. Here you can ski at the foot of the Pale di San Martino, in an enchanting environment but also there is a snow park and a picnic areas for children.
The cross-country skiing has an important role in Val di Fiemme. Here are two major ski poles for this discipline. The “centro fondo lago Tesero” (cross country ski centre Tesero lake) offers 18 kilometres of tracks divided into 9 rings prepared both for classical and free technique that offer easy and medium difficulties tracks. Through this area also passes the famous Marcialonga of Fiemme and Fassa, 43 kilometres of trails are transformed into an event of great importance to these valleys. The entrance to the circuit is free, only for the track at night, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17 to 21, it is expected to pay a ticket.
The “Centro fondo passo Lavazè” (cross country ski centre Lavazè Pass) is 85 kilometres of tracks, 12 kilometres are for beginners, 15 most challenging, and the remaining of medium difficulty. These paths will delve into the woods on the plateau and offer amazing glimpses on the chain of Latemar. The area offers numerous services to skiers. The centre is equipped with locker rooms, technicians service dedicated to equipment, it is served by ski bus and along the tracks there are control units for the emergency. As it is easy to see many technical and preparatory day care of the perfect state of tracks and related services.
